Breeding soundness examination
(Initial reproductive assessment) £110

Comprehensive veterinary assessment of reproductive fitness prior to breeding.
Includes detailed reproductive and medical history, general clinical examination, evaluation of body condition, discussion of breeding goals and risks, and formulation of an individual breeding plan.
Required prior to reproductive diagnostic services for new clients.

Progesterone testing £70

In-house blood progesterone testing to accurately determine ovulation timing and optimise breeding or insemination planning.
Testing frequency is guided by previous results and individual cycle progression.
Clinical interpretation and breeding advice included.

Progesterone testing may also be used during pregnancy to monitor luteal function in bitches with a history of pregnancy loss or suspected luteal insufficiency.
Results available the same day.

Progesterone testing + vaginal cytology £95

Combined progesterone testing and vaginal cytology as supportive tools for cycle stage assessment and breeding decision-making.
Cytology is not offered as a standalone service.


 

Reverse progesterone £70

Progesterone testing performed in late pregnancy to support estimation of whelping timing and assist with delivery planning, including consideration of elective caesarean section where indicated.
Testing is typically performed during the final week of pregnancy and interpreted in conjunction with clinical assessment.

Assisted mating 
(natural mating support) £60

Veterinary assistance during natural mating to facilitate successful copulation and minimise stress.
Service includes supervision, handling guidance and timing support.
Extended attendance is charged additionally.

If natural mating is unsuccessful, semen collection and artificial insemination may be offered during the same visit, subject to clinical assessment.

Owner is responsible for arranging a suitable and safe mating environment. 

Artificial insemination £100

Veterinary intravaginal insemination using fresh semen, following semen collection and basic motility assessment.
Procedure performed based on progesterone timing and clinical assessment to maximise conception success.

 

Canine Herpes Virus vaccine £85

Vaccination protocol consists of two injections administered during pregnancy:
the first dose is given during heat or 7-10 days after the date of mating, and the second dose is administered approximately 1-2 weeks prior to expected whelping.
This vaccine does not provide lifelong immunity and must be repeated during each pregnancy.
Price is per individual vaccine dose. 

Pregnancy ultrasound £70 

Pregnancy ultrasound performed to confirm pregnancy and assess foetal development.
Recommended from approximately day 30 of gestation.
Foetal count is approximate and not guaranteed.
The scan may be combined with progesterone testing to support assessment of luteal function where clinically indicated.

Whelping bitch assistance £400

Veterinary home visit providing clinical support during whelping where intervention is required.
Service includes continuous monitoring of labour progress, clinical assessment of the bitch, and administration of prescription-only medications where clinically indicated.
Emergency neonatal supportive care and stabilisation may be provided as required.
Price includes up to 5 hours of attendance.
Additional time is charged at £75 per hour thereafter.
Pre-booking is required and availability is limited.

This service is subject to specific Terms & Conditions and requires a signed client acknowledgement form prior to provision of the service.

Please note: this service does not replace access to a fully equipped veterinary clinic.
Caesarean section services are not provided. Referral to an emergency clinic will be advised where surgical intervention is required.

Managing seasons £50

Veterinary consultation and clinical examination to assess and discuss options for medical management of the oestrous cycle.
Treatment options are considered on an individual basis following clinical assessment.
Medication costs are not included in the consultation fee and will be charged separately where applicable.
Medication may be dispensed or a written prescription issued following consultation, where clinically appropriate.

Mismating injection POA

Veterinary administration of a prescription-only mismating injection following unintended mating.
Treatment is considered on a case-by-case basis and requires clinical examination and assessment of reproductive timing.
The total dose is divided into two injections administered 24 hours apart.
Medication costs are charged separately and depend on body weight.
Additional monitoring or follow-up may be recommended.

Swabs for external laboratory testing £30

Veterinary sample collection for external laboratory testing, including microbiology swabs for PCR, culture and sensitivity testing.
This fee covers sample collection only.
Laboratory fees, submission and result interpretation are not included.
External laboratory testing services will be available in the future.

Infertility diagnosing £50+POA

The consultation fee applies to initial infertility assessments.
For existing reproductive clients, diagnostic investigations may proceed without an additional consultation charge.

 

Written prescription £15

A veterinary consultation and clinical examination are required prior to issuing a written prescription.
